Pages

In your P&C training package, you will find a document that we refer to as the Visual Content Map. It is a visual representation of how the data that is entered into P&C is plugged into the designs. The diagram on the cover page is a site map which will be handy during the entire data entry process as it is color-coordinated by Page Type. Page Types determine what specific content is dynamic on a particular page.

  • EXAMPLE: For instance, as we see in the designs, a News Page Type would have fields to enter data such as an author name, publication date, and article text, whereas a Bio Page Type instead would have fields for data like the person’s name, title, phone number, email address, and biography text, etc.

Looking further into the content map, there is a spread for every Page Type that is used on the site. The spreads list, on the left, each piece of data that will pull from P&C for that Page Type and, on the right, its respective location in the design.
